” FOMO-Fear of Missing Out”

Another factor that makes social media addictive is the “fear of missing out” phenomenon.
In reality, this fear is a social engineering attack that sometimes aims to incite Internet users not to miss an event, thus creating the fear of missing out.
But I’d like you to know that your heart is precious and shouldn’t be disturbed by anything.

Jean 14 : 1  “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me”
To be cautious about this phenomenon, it’s crucial to understand the factors that make social engineering attacks effective.
In fact, it’s because social engineering is based on essential human behaviors.
So what are these behaviors?

We have the desire to show good results and not miss opportunities? These are also human behaviors.
And this engineering takes advantage of our emotions or desires by creating the illusion of being able to fulfill them.
Individuals catch glimpses of publications by their friends or other participants in activities, which can give rise to emotions of regret or exclusion.
Social networks amplify this feeling, as users are constantly exposed to idealized moments in other people’s lives.

Philippiens 4 : 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Anxiety, loneliness or dissatisfaction with one’s own existence can be caused by this fear.

Joshua 1 : 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

This also influences behaviour,to avoid this fear, some people may feel compelled to take part in events or activities, even if they don’t really want to. Dear Reader, Yes, everything is allowed, but not everything is good for you. Everything is allowed, but not everything helps you grow in your faith.

You’ll avoid this fear every time you look after what’s good and useful for you and the people around you.
